About the Artist

You'll find few people with greater passion about what they do!

Vanessa Helder, PPA Photographic Craftsman is third generation photographer; she has been perfecting her craft for over 38 years! She is a member of Professional Photographers of America and and Past President of the Professional Photographers of Sacramento Valley.  She earned the prestigious Photographic Craftsman degree from Professional Photographers of America at the young age of 25. In 2018, The Helders Photography was awarded as the Yuba County Champion (Yuba County Business of the Year)! Her photographic art adorns the walls of museums, businesses and homes throughout the United States.

I am a third-generation photographer following in my grandfather's and father's footsteps in carrying on the family tradition of providing expert photography, quality and service. While working with my father and grandfather, they taught me core values of personal commitment, loyalty, reliability, generosity, respect and gratitude.”
As a lifelong resident of the Yuba Sutter area, Vanessa's commitment to our community is reflected in the many service organizations to which she lends her time and talents. For 29 years she has been involved with the Rotary Club of Marysville and served as the 2019-2020 President, also the 100th President!. Also serves on The Rotary Club of Marysville's Foundation Board.  She has been a Tri-County ROP/CTE Advisory Committee Member for 27 years.  Through the years she has been active with Franklin 4-H, various committees at Franklin & Sutter Union High School.  She is a proud mom to two sons. And you can be certain that Vanessa's family portraits adorn the walls of her home.

Her love for her family, her friends, her community and her art is amazing!
